Introduction

AFFIX is a broad-spectrum fungicide with translaminar, systemic and protectant activity for use in cereals (wheat, barley, oat, rye and triticale), asparagus, combining pea, vining pea, potato, field bean, winter and spring oilseed rape, bulb onion, leek, carrot, Brussels sprout, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, collards and calabrese.

Quick Facts

  • Provides excellent rust control in cereals.
  • Useful activity against cereal ear diseases.
  • For the control of Sclerotinia and Alternaria in OSR.
  • Azoxystrobin known to provide physiological benefits such as increased green leaf retention and drought tolerance.
  • Azoxystrobin has demonstrated reduction in take all in cereals.

Formulation

CHAMANE is a Suspension Concentrate (SC) formulation.

Azoxystrobin belongs to the Qol (Quinone outside Inhibitors) fungicide group and is classified by the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) as belonging to the mode of action group 11. Used alone as a pre-planting treatment (azoxystrobin; AFFIX) does not contribute to the total number of applications of Qol fungicides advised on potatoes by FRAG-UK, so the number of foliar treatments of Qol fungicides need not be reduced.
